Under-glaze decoration. On the wall and in the slightly recessed mirror are rare architectural depictions of a village church, farm, or estate in an expansive, tree-filled landscape with figural characters. The cup reflects floral decoration. Beautiful polychrome painting. Gold border and ornamentation. Dated 1748. Crossed swords mark. Height 4.5 cm. A rare cup and saucer with rare architectural scenes.
