Description

On the underside, there is a cube-shaped body with Rocalille handles. The front and the mirror depict a landscape with so-called "Teniers peasants" surrounded by trees. There is partial decoration of woodcarving in the form of flowers. The polychrome painting is adorned with a wide gold lace border. There are partial marks of the artist Johann Gottlieb Kühnel the Elder (active from 1732) or a previous number, gold marks or numbers, as well as a crossed swords mark. Height: 7 cm. A porcelain cup and saucer featuring scenes from the life of the "Teniers" and decoration of woodcarving in the form of flowers. There is a partial artist's signature, various gold marks. Crossed swords mark. Meissen. Circa 1735-1745.
