A small Meissen porcelain teapot
Description

A spherical body, a curved lateral spout with palmette decoration and a short curved animal snout. On both sides of the wall, a large Watteau scene with pilgrims or a peasant couple in a landscape with trees, alternating with flowering branches. A flat raised lid with a depiction of Pierrot. Purple painting in camaiu bordò with a bordering gold lace border and figures. Manufacturer's mark for J.C. Haase (active from 1732). Gold number 93. Sword mark. Height 11 cm. See Rückert, Biographical Data, p. 110, 139. A small porcelain tea jug with Watteau scenes, painted in purple camaiu. Signature of the former painter. Gold number 93. Crossed swords mark. Meissen. Circa 1732-1739.
