Small Meissen porcelain teapot
Description

A spherical body, a curved side handle with palmette decoration, and a short curved animal spout. On both sides of the wall, a large Watteau scene with pilgrims or a peasant couple in a landscape with trees, alternating with flowering branches. Flat raised lid depicting Pierrot. Purple painting in Bordeaux camaïeu with a bordering golden lace trim and characters. Manufacturer’s mark for J.C. Haasse (Hasse) (active since 1732). Gilt number 93. Sword mark. Height 11 cm.
