Description

On an uneven base, covered with plastic flowers and leaves, sits a loving couple embracing each other in front of a rococo-style lattice trembita, surrounded by delicately applied floral vines. The woman is dressed in a white gown with a floral pattern and gold trim, and also wears a lace bonnet, while the young man is dressed in a pink suit over a white, gold-embellished waistcoat. At their feet, a pug with a red tie is jumping. The polychrome painting is adorned with gold accents. This piece is possibly the work of Johann Joachim Kändler, circa 1745.
