Characteristic cabinet paintings for the Baroque painter in motif and style, in which he depicts hunting scenes, a road surrounded by embellished meadows and bare trees with various laid animals, hunting dogs and hunters, in the background a village or a wild boar hunt in a summery landscape with a hunter, injured dogs and a residence in the background. Peter v. Bemmel was a student of his father Willem van Bemmel and worked as a highly esteemed landscape painter for the princely courts in Ansbach, Bamberg, and Würzburg, among others.
