(1665 Ravensburg - 1748 Munich) attributed; Arcadian Italian landscape with figures atmospherically tuned cabinet painting in the tradition of Nicolaes Berchem and Jan Both, possibly depicting a motif in Bozen, South Tyrol. Beich was a court painter in Munich for the Bavarian Elector Max II Emanuel, executing paintings for the castles Schleissheim and Nymphenburg; from 1704-1714 Beich resided in Italy. With his Dutch and Italian influences, he was successful on both sides of the Alps. Oil on canvas, doubled; 16 cm x 23 cm. Framed. Attributed to Franz Joachim Beich (1665-1748). Oil on canvas, relined.
