

(1821 Plan - 1881 Vöslau) Landscape with distinguished company at the parforce hunt in front of a castle. Rare motif of the versatile landscape and marine painter. Püttners undertook extensive study trips that led him, among other places, through Hungary, the Netherlands, and Italy. In addition, from 1851 to 1853, he traveled to North and South America as well as the Caribbean. He was predominantly active in Vienna, but in 1869 he moved to Vöslau. Since 1842, Püttners regularly participated in the exhibitions of the Vienna Academy, and in 1861, he became a member of the Vienna Künstlerhaus. Oil on canvas, relined. Signed and dated 1857.
