Treviso - 1898 Munich) Fruit still life with wine bottles arranged on a tabletop, a rural still life consisting of peaches, grapes, plums, pears, and a basket, with wine bottles and straw sleeves serving as their packaging. Through its motif, this rare, realistically painted work by the renowned genre and animal painter Montemezzo stands out. Montemezzo studied at the Academy in Venice and moved to Munich in 1872, where he permanently settled. Since 1874, he has participated in many exhibitions, including the Munich Kunstverein Glaspalast, Berlin, Bremen, and Vienna. Oil on canvas; signed; 48.5 cm x 69 cm. Original frame.
