(1841 Lundby near Aalborg, Denmark - 1923 Munich) Danish village idyll with an old homestead, peasant children, and geese. This is a charming, early, small landscape by the Danish painter, who exhibited in Charlottenborg since 1864. In 1876/77, Andersen-Lundby settled in Munich, where he became known as a virtuoso "snow painter" with his atmospherically tuned winter landscapes. In addition to exhibitions at the Munich Art Association and the Glass Palace, he also showed his paintings at Academy exhibitions and major art exhibitions in Berlin. Oil on canvas; signed; 20.5 cm x 30.5 cm. Framed.
