(1909 Berlin - 1973 Nienburg) Expressionistic work from the mature oeuvre of Bredow, who, like many rediscovered artists of the classical modern era, belonged to the so-called lost generation. Bredow studied in Berlin under Max Kaus and was part of the circle of friends and acquaintances of the "Brücke" painters Erich Heckel and Karl Schmidt-Rottluff, whose influence is reflected in this expressionistic piece, as well as that of Emil Nolde. Watercolor on paper. Signed and dated. Dimensions: 60.5 cm x 49.5 cm. Framed.
