Silver. Pincer-shaped. Elaborately crafted in the form of openwork bandwork, with a pointed conical blade adorned with chiseled decorative bands, transitioning into a rounded handle. Corresponding hinged counter blade on top. Created by the esteemed silversmith Viktor Sawinkow, unknown maker's mark, dated. Weight approximately 245 g. Length 33 cm. See Goldberg, page 42, number 620, for a comparable Russian late Biedermeier silver fish server. Standard mark 84, assay master's mark, and unknown master's mark. Dated Russia, Moscow, 1864.
