Imitating the "Herend fishnet" is practically impossible, as this ornament is applied by hand with a steel pen on a white glazed porcelain surface, almost without lifting the hand, and then colored with a brush using the corresponding paint.

The execution of the scale decoration requires precision and vast experience, as each new figurine requires different proportions and distribution of scales. This decor has become the signature feature of the Herend factory.
