About Wallendorf -
The factory was founded by Johann Wolfgang Hammann from Kathütte. Initially, he requested a concession to produce porcelain at the royal court of Schwarzburg-Rudolstadt. He was denied, but eventually opened his business in Kahütte.
A year later, Johann Wolfgang Hammann purchased an estate in Wallendorf, located in the duchy of Saxe-Coburg-Saalfeld. The Wallendorf porcelain factory has been operating since 1764. The Wallendorf porcelain factory was founded jointly by Wolfgang Hammann and his son, glass artist Gotfried Greiner, and his cousin Gotthilf Greiner.
