

(1633 Emden – 1686 Amsterdam) attributed; Landscape with Travelers on a Path, a work characteristic of the artist who studied under Jan Asselijn in Amsterdam around 1650–1655, and then traveled through France, Germany, and Italy until 1659. Frederik de Moucheron depicted, along with Italian landscapes, especially tree-rich landscapes with hunting parties and shepherds, whose figural compositions were often borrowed from such prominent artists as Adriaen van de Velde, Nicolaes Berchem, and Johannes Lingelbach.
