A young girl in peasant attire and a white bonnet sits by a pond on a summer day, weaving an elegant wreath of red and white flowers. Executed in a bright, finely nuanced palette and striking illumination, this cabinet painting by Campotosto is firmly rooted in the tradition of his father, Belgian genre painter Henri Campotosto (1833–1910). Oil on relined canvas. Signed; 58.5 cm x 46 cm. Framed.
