

(1860 Paris – 1940 same place) "The Seine near La Frette" (The Seine near La Frette). Original title. Painted in delicate, ethereal tones, this painting depicts a section of the Seine. It is highly emotional, created with free, vibrant brushstrokes in the Impressionist style of an artist who studied under Arpiné and Jules Lefebvre. Starting in 1888, Lévis regularly exhibited his landscapes, among others, at the "Société des Artistes Français" exhibitions. Oil on wooden panel. Signed. On the reverse side, there is an inscription with the title and a signature on the label. Dimensions: 19.3 cm x 24.3 cm. Framed.
