

Born in 1940 in Munich. Currently resides there. Hühnerhof is a meticulously executed painting in the style of the cabinet painter Kaplan, who was active as an animal and landscape artist. With his paintings of chickens and ducks, distinguished by carefully observed, detailed, and lively depictions of birds, Kaplan follows the traditions of Carl Jutz the Elder, as well as the Munich animal painters Julius Scheurer and Max Hanger, who also devoted themselves to these motifs.
