An extremely rare handcrafted Easter egg depicting Saint George, produced by the private Kuznetsov factory during World War I. Russian Tsar Nicholas II presented such eggs to wounded heroes of that war. Currently, only a few of these eggs are known to exist. One is held in the Ethnographic Museum of Russia, another in the Hillwood Museum in Washington, D.C., a third in the renowned porcelain collection of Mr. Ray F. Piper in Wyoming, and possibly two eggs are in private collections. We offer this rare specimen for sale.
