Meissen coffee pot with a house in pictorial purple cameo.
Description

Pear-shaped body with handles in the form of volutes and a pointed spout. Dome-shaped lid with a spherical knob. On the side, there is an image of Venus or the sea nymph Galatea, sitting in a shell, accompanied by sea nymphs and cupids. In the background, Neptune, drawn by hippocamps, approaches with a trident. This domestic painting, probably from Breslau, is executed in purple camaïeu with gold decoration. Some minor restorations; the lid is different. Height: 21 cm. Compare with the auction catalog, Jan Collection, Hamburg, 641. Lempertz Auction, 1989, No. 36. Porcelain coffee pot "Hausmalerei" in purple camaïeu, probably from Breslau. Minor restoration. Varied lid. Meissen, circa 1720-1725.
