Description

Cylindrical shape with a handle "à la grecque". Dome-shaped lid with a baluster handle. Shape "Antiqueglatt". Cobalt-blue background color. On the display side, surrounded by etched golden grapevines, there is a reserve with a portrait of Frederick II, King of Prussia, as well as the inscription 'FRIDERIUS. II. BORUSSOR. REX.', highlighted with a yellowish-gray grisaille drawing. Border of curved vines. Partially damaged/restored; marked with a scepter mark. Height 10.5 cm. Lidded cup made of Berlin porcelain with a portrait of Frederick the Great (Prussia) in grisaille technique. Partially worn/restored. Scepter mark KPM-Berlin. Circa 1780–1790.
