Description

About a Rocaille-relief covered with flowers, featuring a group of cupids with a garland of flowers, sheaves of grain and a sickle, as well as a wine jug and a goblet on a barrel of wine or with a fur coat in front of a blazing fire, depicted as representations of spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Polychrome painting with gold highlighting. Possibly the work of Johann Joachim Kändler. Partially restored, minor chips. Marked with crossed swords. Height 15 cm, width 17 cm. A group of porcelain figurines of cupids as an allegory of the four seasons. Meissen, circa 1824-1850.
