Description
Ceramics (clay ware). A complete sculptural composition of a bird of prey sitting on a rocky base. Polychrome painting and glazed coating. Model No. 3168. Possibly by Emil Pottner, 1925. Impressed manufactory mark with the inscription "Made in Germany" and brush number 23 in blue. Height 46 cm. Provenance: from the estate of a significant North German private collection. German glazed and painted clay figure of a bird of prey, probably created by Emil Pottner in 1925. Karlsruhe Majolica Manufactory. 1925–1930.
