Title on the pedestal at the front, artist's mark at the back; cast around 1900 from a model of an allegorical figure of a nude woman created by Schadow, originally made from fired wax on a wooden base; later also executed in plaster and bronze. The figure was conceived by Schadow as part of a group of four allegories - Nature, Art, Virtue, and Peace. Height 23.5 cm. Comparative examples in various materials can be found in the state museums in Berlin, including a model acquired in 1888 from the collection of Eugenie Schadow, Berlin.
