(1684 Copenhagen - 1762 Berlin) Portrait of Caroline Henriette Kircheisen, typical portrait style of Möller, depicting Caroline Henriette Kircheisen (born 1747) as a young girl. She was the daughter of Karl David Kircheisen (died 1770), Privy Councilor of War, Police President, and President of the Magistrate in Berlin. From 1712, Möller is documented as a painter in Germany, first in Greifswald, Berlin, and until 1720 in Kassel. In 1723, he created a series of female portraits for Frederiksberg Palace (royal summer residence) called "the Italian Beauties". In 1724 and 1737, he resided in Vienna, where he portrayed, among others, Charles VI and Maria Theresa. From 1740/41, he taught drawing at the Danish court, King Frederick IV, and returned to Berlin definitively in 1752. Oil on canvas; Inscribed, titled, location Berlin and dated 1757 by the artist on the reverse. 44 cm x 35 cm. Framed. Accompanied by an expert opinion by Prof. Dr. Helmut Börsch-Supan, Berlin.
