Pohle learned from his father, the landscape painter Hermann Pohle the elder, and studied from 1889-1895 under Peter Janssen at the Düsseldorf Art Academy. Since 1890, Pohle has been represented at the major Berlin Art Exhibition with his paintings. In addition, Pohle participated in significant exhibitions in Dresden, Munich, St. Louis (USA), and Vienna. Oil on canvas; signed and dated; 77 cm x 77 cm, in the original octagonal frame.
