Early impressionistic landscape by Clarenbach from the time of his studies at the Düsseldorf Academy. At the age of 15, he undertook study trips to the Dutch Zeeland, during which the present painting was created. Since 1902/03, Clarenbach celebrated great successes with his landscapes and taught at the Düsseldorf Academy from 1917 to 1945. Oil on cardboard. Signed and dated; lower right and dated 6.9. (18)95.
