Description

(1576 Mechelen - 1629 Amsterdam) After the Entry of Christ into Jerusalem, Copper engraving/paper, 1612. Engraved by Schelte Adamsz. Bolswert (c. 1586 - 1659), published by Claes Janszoon Visscher (with dating 1634), text based on G. Ryckius and with additional mention "P(e)ter Schenk junior excudit" and "No. 59". Likely a later edition from the 18th century, published by Peter Schenk d. J. (1693 - 1775). Sheet 48.3 cm x 64.5 cm. 42 cm x 62.5 cm (passepartout cutout). Copper engraving by Schelte Adamsz. Bolswert (c. 1586 - 1659) after David Vinckboons (1576 - 1629).
