The circus theme is very popular in visual art in general and in porcelain in particular. The circus is a special theme - it represents happy carefree childhood, joy and fun, admiration, bright colors, and endless skill. Of course, one of the most popular characters that attracts our attention, makes us happy, sad, and dream at the same time is the clown! The Lladro brand has chosen its recognizable images. Their clowns are both sad comedians with a delicate, vulnerable soul and playful, charming little "clownettes". It seems that they are not just porcelain figurines, but also the heroes of a funny story.
Lladro Company was founded in Valencia, Spain in 1953. The Lladro brothers worked at a porcelain factory in Valencia that produced ceramics and tiles. In 1953, they decided to establish their own production of porcelain figurines and statuettes in the classical style, made in the best traditions of the 17th century. By the 1960s, the whole world had already heard about this Spanish brand. In 1969, the brothers opened their own huge complex called "City of Porcelain". The high demand for Spanish statuettes is explained by the fact that the production runs do not exceed 5000 pieces. And after their release, the unique mold is broken so that no one can replicate it. The products are completely handmade and painted only with natural colors. The products are characterized by a delicate, restrained palette, consisting of gray and beige-brown colors, and an infinite combination of pastel shades, perfectly reflecting delicacy and cleanliness of form.Lladro. The name "Daisa" on the hallmark is the name of the department of the company that holds the intellectual property rights for the figurines. Currently, Lladro figures can be found in the collections of the Hermitage Museum, the Royal Museum of Art and History in Brussels, and the Museum of Modern Art in Santo Domingo. The uniqueness of the Lladro brothers' company lies in the fact that their artists turned the creation of porcelain figurines into a high art form with its own philosophy. When the Lladro brothers first founded the company, they decided that all porcelain products would be dedicated to only positive and bright aspects of life, and they called their philosophy "the circle of life."
Dimensions of the figurine: height - 15 cm, dimensions - 8.5 cm x 7 cm.
The figurine "Little Clown with Ball and Dog" is a magnificent collector's item. Due to its display storage, it is in perfect condition without any defects, chips, cracks, or restorations. It can be a beautiful decoration in your home, a nice gift for acquaintances and loved ones, or a worthy addition to your collection!
