Advertising poster for Renault, dedicated to the races at Montlhéry. [No publisher]: [1934?]. 33.5×25.5 cm. Mounted in a mat. Foxing, good condition. The Montlhéry autodrome is located southwest of the small town of Montlhéry, approximately 30 km (19 miles) south of Paris. The first race there, the 1925 French Grand Prix, took place on July 26, 1925, and was organized by the Automobile Club de France Grand Prix. It was a race won by Robert Benoist in a Delage; Antonio Ascari was killed in an Alfa Romeo P2. The Grand Prix revisited the circuit in 1927 and every year from 1931 to 1937.
