Description

(Active in the 16th century) Portrait of a nobleman from the ancient Bavarian-Salzburg noble and patrician family of Reilingen. This expressive bust portrait depicts a young man with curly red hair, his upper body and face slightly turned to the left. He is dressed in a carefully embroidered black jacket with a high collar, adorned with delicate white lace. In the lower left part, there is an inscription "1570 C" above the image of the family coat of arms, whose ancestral seat is located northeast of Augsburg in Schernegg, in the Aichach-Friedberg district. The dimensions of the artwork are 6.2 cm x 9.3 cm, it is painted in oil on a copper panel. It has a frame. This German portraitist was active in the 16th century.
