(1824 Munich - 1895 ibid.) "Winter Landscape". Original title of an adorned landscape with ice delights, likely in Dachau Moos. A particularly atmospheric and characteristic work by Stademann, who studied under Carl August Lebschnee and Moritz Lotze. Inspired by 17th-century Dutch masters, he preferred to dedicate himself to depicting moonlight and winter scenes, to which he skillfully added an atmospheric, impressionistic touch with free brushwork and color. Oil on canvas; signed; on the reverse with an original label, likely bearing the title and address of the Munich artist. 42 cm x 61 cm. Framed.
