(1824 Munich - 1895 ibid.) "Winter Landscape." Original title of an ornate landscape with ice amusements, likely in the Dachau Moos. A particularly atmospheric and characteristic work by Stademann, who studied under Karl August Lebschée and Moritz Lotze. Inspired by 17th-century Dutch masters, he preferred to devote himself to depictions of moonlight and winter scenes, to which he skillfully added an atmospheric, impressionistic touch with free brushwork and color. Oil on canvas; signed; on the reverse with an original label, presumably bearing the title and address of the Munich artist. 42 cm x 61 cm. Framed.
