(1824 Munich – 1895 same place) "Winter Landscape." The original title of the decorated landscape with ice amusements is probably in Dachau Moos. An especially atmospheric and characteristic work by Stademann, who studied under Karl August Lebschée and Moritz Lotze. He preferred to devote himself, inspired by the Dutch masters of the 17th century, to depicting moonlight and winter scenes, to which he skillfully added an atmospheric, impressionistic touch with free brushwork and color. Oil on canvas; signed; on the reverse with the original label, probably with the name and address of the Munich artist. 42 cm x 61 cm. In a frame.
