Otto von Bismarck-Schönhausen (1815–1898), from 1871 Prince Bismarck, influenced German politics, serving as the first Chancellor of the German Empire from 1871 to 1890, which he also helped to found, and from 1862 to 1890 as Minister-President of Prussia.
