This work of art depicts a late Impressionist view of Paris, executed with swift, broad, soft, and impasto brushstrokes in a light, pastel color palette. Anderbouhr first exhibited this piece in 1937/38 at the Autumn Salon in Paris; from 1953 to 1973, he collaborated with the renowned Durand-Ruel gallery and held eleven solo exhibitions. In addition to Parisian motifs, he also portrayed views and landscapes from other regions of France, Italy, Spain, and Morocco.
