"People with Luggage: Street Scene"

Born in 1955 in Stuttgart and based in Munich, the artist presents a work titled "People with Baggage (Boxes, Suitcases, Shrine)." This original title refers to a street scene observed from a low vantage point, featuring various interacting figures. On the right side, the legs of a woman in a lilac miniskirt, yellow-and-red striped stockings, and high-heeled shoes are depicted. Executed in bright and expressive colors, this early work by Keilbach combines elements of street art, expressionism, verism, and pop art in a contemporary style. It conveys a sense of joy for life, while at times also expressing a certain melancholy. The painting is done in oil on canvas, measuring 120 cm by 120 cm, and is framed. On the reverse side, it is signed, titled, and dated February 12, 1989.
