Kurschner, who studied painting at the HfBK Berlin under Fred Thiele from 1963 to 1968, won the Rome Prize of the Villa Massimo in 1971; from 1981 to 2007 he was a professor at the HdK Berlin, and in 1996 he received the Villa-Groma Prize from the Academy of Arts. Oil on canvas; signed, titled and dated (19)90 on the reverse, with the location indicated as Berlin. 60 cm x 55 cm.
