(1793 Sunderland – 1867 Hampstead/London) Winter view of Weidbruck (Ponte Garden) in South Tyrol with Trostburg Castle in the foreground, a carriage and figures in front of the bridge over the Eisack River. A drawing by Stanfield with the same motif served as inspiration for the graphic work "Tronsberg," which appeared in 1832 in "Heath's Picturesque Annual for 1832" in London or around 1840 in the volume "La Suisse et le Tyrol: Scenes from Mountain Life" by L. Janet in Paris. Canvas, oil; monogram "JD" on the carriage. 37 cm x 28 cm. In a frame. Circle of Clarkson Stanfield (1793–1867). Canvas, oil. Monogram "JD" on the back of the carriage.
