(1838 Windschläg - 1916 Pfaffendorf) King Charles Spaniel and Bolognese in an interior. A rare, meticulously painted depiction of a dog in the form of a small oval painting, probably created around 1860. Jutz visited the studio of animal painter August Knip in Baden-Baden in 1853 and settled in Düsseldorf in 1867. His work mainly consists of carefully drawn images of birds, for which he conducted intensive studies, even creating his own duck houses to achieve the highest degree of accuracy. Oil on wooden panel. Dimensions and signature: approximately 12.5 cm x 9.5 cm, oval-shaped. Probably in the original frame.
