

(1911 Warsaw – 1979 ibid.) Winter Day in Old Warsaw. A nostalgic view with covered wagons, sleighs, and passersby. The Polish artist studied at the Warsaw School of Fine Arts from 1926 to 1931 and created, alongside depictions of horses, sleighs, and troikas, mainly nostalgic, predominantly winter cityscapes and architectural views. He particularly depicted, as in this painting, the famous historical Old Town before its extensive destruction in 1944 during World War II. Oil on canvas. Signed. Dimensions: 50 cm x 70 cm. Framed.
