(1911 Warsaw – 1979 same place) Winter day in Old Warsaw. A nostalgic view with kibitkas, sleighs, and passersby. The Polish artist studied at the Warsaw Art School from 1926 to 1931 and, in addition to images of horses, sleighs, and troikas, mainly created nostalgic, primarily winter cityscapes and architectural views. He especially depicted, as in this painting, the famous historic Old Town before its severe destruction in 1944 during World War II. Oil on canvas. Signed. Dimensions: 50 cm x 70 cm. Framed.
