"Shiraki: Abstraction in Red"

Born in Budapest in 1969, Shiraki actively works in Bedburg and Aachen. "In Red [In Blue]" is the original title of this abstract gestural figure on a deep red background, reminiscent of smoldering smoke. Shiraki initially studied design in Maastricht before transitioning to sculpture. Since the mid-2000s, he has been working in his studio in Bedburg, creating sculptures primarily for public spaces and large-scale paintings, as well as concepts for light objects and other installations. This work is created using a mixed technique of oil and charcoal on canvas. It is signed and dated (19)96 on the reverse, and also bears a title. The dimensions are 120 cm x 59.5 cm. It is framed.
