Born in Budapest in 1969, Shiraki actively works in Bedburg and Aachen. "Into the Red [Into the Blue]" is the original title of this abstract gestural figure on a deep red background, reminiscent of smoldering smoke. Initially, Shiraki studied design in Maastricht before switching to sculpture. Since the mid-2000s, he has been working in his studio in Bedburg, where he creates sculptures primarily for public spaces and large-scale paintings, as well as concepts for light objects and other installations. This work was created using a mixed technique of oil and charcoal on canvas. On the reverse, it is signed and dated (19)96, and also bears a title. The dimensions are 120 cm x 59.5 cm. It is framed.
