from the city of Tarelka Schinkel. Iron, cast iron, and coated in black. A round, shallow plate on a flat base with exquisite workmanship. Relief, sculpturally executed in the form of tritons, hippocamps, and rich vegetation. Divided by round and rectangular shapes in the center. The center is decorated with a rosette reminiscent of a tongue frieze. Manufacturer’s mark. Diameter 27 cm. See Arenhövel, Eisen statt Gold, Berlin 1982, p. 190, cat. no. 405.
