Description

Silver, partially gilded. The flat round base transitions into a rounded stand with a conically expanding body, with a repeatedly profiled edge. The smooth wall is decorated on one side with a finely cut interlacing monogram. Work, delicate touch, master Henri Masseron (master since 1767). Weight about 100 g. Height 10 cm. See Scheffler, Berlin, NBZ 8b, number 1080, MZ 192. German Rococo parcel-gilt silver goblet by Henri Masseron (master since 1767). Monogram. Gilding inside. Hallmarks for assay, standard, and maker. Berlin. Circa 1770.
