Description

A squat, rounded sugar bowl with two red handles and a removable lid; on the front is depicted a woman with wheat and a sickle, wearing a red bandana against a farm background; on the reverse, a man in a green cap holds a scythe against a wheat background; all on a white ground with red trim; factory mark in underglaze blue with the inscription "Z-109" in blue beneath the factory mark on the base; dimensions: 15.9 x 11.4 x 11.4 cm (6 1/4 x 4 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches) LITERATURE Oda k radosti / Ode to Joy (Moscow: Pinakoteka, 2008), p. 156, no. 93 (illustrated)
