Early Böttger porcelain - cup and saucer
Description

Böttger porcelain. A conical, flaring body with a lightly undulating rim. On both sides of the wall there is golden ornamentation surrounded by foliage in iron-red and golden colors, forming a four-pass band on a glossy background, the so-called Böttger luster. Inside, there is an image of Chinese figures with a child in blooming garden landscapes, painted in exquisite polychrome tones. Inside are Indian flowers and around them a golden lace border. This is a masterpiece by Johann Martin Kittel (who worked as a former apprentice since 1719). Golden number 92. Height 4.5 cm. Early Böttger porcelain – cup and saucer, exquisitely painted with Höroldt-style Chinese motifs. Meissen. Circa 1720–1725.
