A decorated cup with a quail motif.
Description

A square form depicted on four sides with a brown contoured edge. On the sunken mirror and on the rising wall, in the so-called kwak style, iron-red and blue kwak are decorated alongside a flowering Prunus tree and a Kikyô plant (bellflower). Polychrome partially gilded painting. Sword mark. 16 cm x 16 cm. Compare catalog: Hofmeister Collection, No. 120, Pitzsch Collection, Wark, No. 270, Weber/Eikelmann, Vol. II, No. 301 ff. Porcelain four-pass bowl in the kwak style with a "Kwak" pattern. Crossed swords mark. Meissen. Circa 1740.
