Description

Rectangular body with offset, rounded shoulder and short cylindrical neck. Overlapping lid with a centrally positioned plastic floral-shaped handle. One side features a Watteau scene with figures in conversation before a rich architectural landscape background. The narrow sides depict harbor landscapes, sailboats, and figural ornaments. Small scattered flowers on the shoulder. Matching decoration on the lid. Polychrome painting with a double iron-red line. Sword mark. Height 13 cm. Porcelain tea caddy with Tanys scenes. Sword mark. Meissen. Circa 1745.
