Description

A rectangular body with offset, rounded shoulder, and a short cylindrical neck. An overlapping lid with a centrally positioned plastic flower-shaped handle. One side features a Watteau scene with figures in conversation before a rich architectural landscape background. The narrow sides depict harbor landscapes, sailing ships, and figurative ornamentation. Small scattered flowers on the shoulder. Corresponding decoration on the lid. Polychrome painting with a double iron-red line. Sword mark. Height 13 cm. Porcelain tea caddy with Tanze scenes. Sword mark. Meissen. Circa 1745.
