Description

On the underside, there is a cuboid body with Rocailles handles. On the front and on the mirror, a landscape is depicted with so-called "Teniers peasants" surrounded by trees. There is partially a decoration of wood carvings in the form of flowers. Polychrome painting is adorned with a wide golden border of lace. Partially present are the marks of the painter Johann Gottlieb Kühnel the Elder (active from 1732) or former numbers, golden marks or numbers, as well as the mark of crossed swords. Height: 7 cm. Porcelain cup and saucer with depictions of scenes from the life of "Teniers" and decoration of wood carvings in the form of flowers. Partially present is the artist's signature, various golden marks. Mark of crossed swords. Meissen. Circa 1735-1745.
