16-piece; Large serving platter, 8 dinner plates, coffee pot, and 6 coffee cups with saucers. "Rococo" shape with decorated, gilded, and sea-green local edge. Various hunting motifs in the so-called island style on the wall and in the mirror. Picturesque landscape images, partly located on riverbanks, with hunters in Rococo attire, mostly with dogs, sitting on horses and resting, equipped with hunting horns. Decoration—possibly Hans Kratzer, from 1910. Manufacturer's mark. Plate diameter—from 36 cm to 50.5 cm. Academically trained artist Hans Kratzer (1874–1951) designed numerous hunting decorations for the Nymphenburg porcelain manufactory, as well as the Royal Table Service of Ludwig III of Bavaria. In 1940, he sold the design for the "Bunte Jagd" decoration to the manufactory, which was subsequently executed by the art department. Kratzer's motifs are inspired by Rococo-era samples. See Ziffer, Cat. Nymphenburger Modern, p. 160 and following, p. 442, Fime-Becker, vol. XXI, p. 436. 16-piece porcelain dinner set with hunting scenes after motifs by H. Kratzer. Manufacturer's mark. Nymphenburg. Second half of the 20th century.
