"The Pantalone" from Italian comedy
Description
On a rocaille pedestal stands Pantalone in a reddish-brown costume with a black cloak draped over him. The polychrome painting is adorned with gold decorations. Possibly by Franz Anton Bustelli, 1759/1760. Maker's mark. Height 17.5 cm. Porcelain figurine of Pantalone from Commedia dell'Arte. Maker's mark: Nymphenburg. 20th century.
